Is Your Body Truly Healthy, Or Just Quiet?

The Triangle of Health.

By Dr. Kurt Larsen
Most people think being symptom-free means being healthy. But true health is not just the absence of pain or sickness, it’s your body’s ability to Adapt, Heal, and Thrive. One of the best ways to understand this is through what I call the “Triangle of Health.”

The first triangle represents three types of stress we face every day: Physical, Mental, and Chemical.

  • Physical stress can come from poor posture, injuries, or lack of movement.
  • Mental stress stems from worry, pressure, or emotional strain.
  • Chemical stress hides in the food we eat, the environment we live in, and even the medications we take.

When these stresses pile up, the body stops adapting and starts reacting, and that reaction shows up as symptoms. The second triangle reflects how your body functions: Nerves, Joints, and Muscles. If one side falters, the others strain to keep up, causing imbalance, pain, or fatigue.

  1. Nerves carry vital messages.
  1. Joints allow structure and movement.
  1. Muscles provide strength and stability.

Why the Triangles Matter? By supporting both triangles, you move beyond chasing symptoms and give your body the foundation to heal naturally. Here is a simple 3-point self-check:

  • Notice your posture: Are you aligned or slouched?
  • Scan your emotions: Calm or overwhelmed?
  • Reflect on your fuel: Are you nourishing or depleting your body?

Strong triangles lead to a strong, thriving you.
