‘80s Tribute Band to Headline October Bridge Street Concerts

Pack up the lawn chairs and head to Bridge Street for great music and good times.

Electric Avenue, a fantastic band that super-accurately reproduces the music of the 1980s, will highlight the October series of free public Bridge Street LIVE concerts every Thursday in October.

Five outstanding musical acts will fill downtown Hot Springs with thrilling performances that run the gamut from the city’s all-time favorite dance band to an eclectic blend of Ozarks naturalism, roots music and folk essence, to a ‘90s tribute group, to the sounds of Pink Piano Show. The performers will be Electric Avenue, Sad Daddy and Melissa Carper, the Manhattan Orchestra, Pink Piano Show, and The Mixtapes.

“Every Thursday in October is going to see downtown Hot Springs fill up with people who just enjoy great music, no matter the genre,” said Alexis Hampo, special events manager for Visit Hot Springs. “The weather will be cooling down a bit, the sun will be setting a little bit earlier, and free music will ring out for everyone to have the time of their lives.

“Bridge Street LIVE is back for October, and it’s better than ever. And did we mention that it’s free? Each Thursday evening will also include games, contests, food, drinks, and vendors. Bridge Street LIVE has it all.”

Hampo said the schedule will be:

October 1 – Pink Piano Show, with a Pink-out theme and a Chappell Roan lookalike contest.
October 8 – Sad Daddy and Melissa Carper with a best bird costume contest.
October 15 – Electric Avenue and a contest for best ‘80s outfit.
October 22 – The Mixtapes and a best ‘90s outfit contest.
October 29 – Manhattan Orchestra with a contest for best Halloween costume.

The Bridge Street Entertainment District opens at 5 p.m. on concert evenings. There will be DJ music, vendors, food, drink and contests until the music begins at 7 p.m. It’s all free and open to the public. Lawn chairs and pets on leashes are allowed, but no coolers are permitted.
