50 Years of Volunteers Have Helped Sustain the Jackson House Mission

Individuals, families, and businesses like Oaklawn’s team can be found volunteering at Jackson House.

Jackson House Crisis Intervention Center has served this community for its 50th year! What does that entail?

“Let me share with you,” stated Janie Smith, Executive Director of Jackson House. “Crises come in many forms and can be quite individualized. From losing a job, an illness, a new baby or a fire – anything that requires cash right now can cause a strain. Having a place that can fill in the gaps makes all the difference in those critical situations.”

In 2024 over 65,000 meals were served by over 70 different groups. Hot Springs’ Young Men of Distinction have served lunches for five years!

Over a million pounds of groceries were given to 12,000+ people, and clothes, blankets, and other household items were given to 7500+ in Garland County.

Each person is screened and can tell their story. They’re given not only needed items but hope, compassion, and guidance to move forward. Over 600 trained volunteers give of themselves, sharing donations and hugs.

“Every Day, Every Item, Every Dollar, Every Person, Counts.” Be a part of the Largest Outreach, Caring for your Neighbors. Jackson House Needs You! Visit www.jacksonhouse.org to learn more about volunteering and ways to give.
