The Good Life with Dogs

Dog adoptions have skyrocketed since the pandemic began, evidence that people get enormous value from the companionship of dogs – providing even more comfort in times of stress or worry.

Yet problems with canine pets can lead to displeasure, causing even great relationships to turn sour. Correcting behavioral problems – better yet, avoiding them altogether – helps assure positive, long-lasting friendships with a canine companion.

Simple obedience training can correct behavioral problems, the primary reason pets are re-homed. Even in dogs that develop behavioral problems as they age. Obedience training tends to make life happier for both the dog and the dog’s human companion.

Anyone who has lived with an obedience-trained dog understands the pleasures of life with an obedience-trained dog, versus a dog whose behavior makes day-to-day life a troublesome struggle.

“With training, a dog can be taught to behave properly in many situations, both in the home and in social situations in unfamiliar environments,” said Lola Warren, owner and trainer at Lola’s Place. “When she learns what you require of her, the dog will be a much happier pet because she won’t be consistently getting into trouble. And, as a dog’s companion, you will be much happier because you have a better-behaved canine friend.”

Lola’s Place offers group and private obedience lessons as well as boarding, training, and behavior modification options. Warren is professionally trained to help with any problems with your canine companion. She is a certified dog trainer and an AKC Approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator with more than 20 years of experience. She previously worked for Soldier-On-Service-Dogs in Fayetteville, AR, and currently offers service dog training in Hot Springs and surrounding areas.
