So! You Thought You Knew Hot Springs

Local historian, Ken Goodman, to speak at Woodlands.

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Ouachita Speaker Series, in Hot Springs Village, will host Hot Springs resident, Ken Goodman, who will share fun facts about Historic Hot Springs, including the legendary waters, bathhouses, and little-known, yet intriguing, information about the Spa City.

Goodman was the owner of Vienna Theater in Hot Springs from 2010 to 2013, and is a 15-year entertainer. He is a lifelong historian and began strolling tours in Hot Springs in 2023.

This entertaining event will help answer questions that many of us have about that wonderful downtown area. Even if you’ve lived here for several years, you will still learn some amazing facts.

This fun evening will take place on at 7:00 PM, at the Ponce de Leon Center, at the Woodlands Auditorium, at 1101 DeSoto Boulevard, in Hot Springs Village. Tickets are $15 each or $25 for two, and are available at www.hsvticketsales.com

The Ouachita Speaker Series brings inspiring and stimulating guest speakers to Hot Springs Village six times a year. The next speaker will be Ben Johnson, the CEO of the U.S. Marshals Museum in Fort Smith. He will speak about the history of the U.S. Marshal Service and the artifacts you’ll find in the museum. This program will be on November 11, 7:00 PM, at the Ponce de Leon Center. For more information, visit Facebook: Ouachita Speaker Series
