Quapaw String Quartet to Perform Sept. 23rd

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will have the honor of hosting four members of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra – the Quapaw String Quarter – on Sunday, September 23rd at 3 pm. The program is free and open to the public.

The Quapaw String Quartet was founded in 1980, the first of 2 resident string quartets of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Traveling throughout Arkansas, they have provided musical and educational entertainment to thousands of music lovers each year. From school programs to full-length recitals, the Quapaw String Quarter has been called an Arkansas treasure.

They will be performing the music of Haydn, Stravinsky and Robert Schumann. Members are Meredith Maddox Hicks, violin, Charlotte Crosmer, violin, Ryan Mooney, viola and David Gerstein, principal cellist of the ASO. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 199 Barcelona Road in the Hot Springs Village. A reception will follow in Sifford Hall.
