The Garland County Library’s Summer Reading Program has expanded to include amazing prizes for adults, too. This year’s theme is “Unearth a Story.”

Adult prizes for those 18+ include a backyard fire pit, Nintendo Switch 2, Superior Bathhouse Brewery Gift Card, mini espresso machine, Hot Springs National Park gift basket, photography session, Samsung Galaxy tablet, and many more awesome rewards. The prize drawing is August 3, 2026, and the program ends on July 31st, so you’ll want to get started asap.

How it works:

  • Step 1: As soon as possible (the program began May 30th), pick up a paper reading tracker from the Library or print one from www.gclibrary.com/SRP
  • pages a day.
  • Step 3: Mark the space for each day you meet your goal.
  • Step 4: Take the tracker to the Library to pick up a small prize and ticket for every 10 days you read.
  • Step 5: Enter tickets in raffle boxes for a chance to win special prizes, to be drawn on 8/3/26.
  • Step 6: Turn in completed trackers for an extra raffle ticket.

Every 10 days, readers can pick up a small prize and a raffle ticket to enter for a chance to win a big prize. Adult prizes will be won based on a PLINKO token drop.

Adults can connect to the library in a variety of ways, ranging from free meeting room space and genealogical research to reference services and reader’s advisory. Of course, we have books, movies, and music for adults, as well as special programming featuring music, education, and hobby groups.
