Have you visited the Bookmobile yet? Used a Remote Locker to pick up your holds?

Beyond the Library’s single location at 1427 Malvern Avenue, the Garland County Library (GCL) brings the library to the community through Books-By-Mail, free delivery, remote lockers, and the Bookmobile. GCL is committed to serving all residents, regardless of location or circumstance. These innovative services ensure that everyone has access to the library’s collections.

  • Books-By-Mail (BBM): Homebound patrons can enjoy personalized library service through BBM. Items are mailed directly to their homes via USPS, with a dedicated staff member curating selections based on individual preferences.
  • Free Delivery: GCL offers free delivery of holds to patrons within its service area. Residents can email delivery@gclibrary.com to confirm eligibility.
  • Remote Book Lockers: For convenient, self-service access, GCL has installed four remote book lockers throughout the county. Patrons can pick up holds and return items at their leisure, 24/7. Holds are available for 7 days.
  • Bookmobile: The Bookmobile brings a curated collection directly to neighborhoods. Patrons can browse and borrow items, pick up holds, and return materials. The Bookmobile route can be found at gclibrary.com/bookmobile. Holds for the bookmobile will remain available for 7 days.

These expanded services complement GCL’s existing resources and demonstrate its dedication to serving the entire Garland County community.
