Join Blue Waters Arts Gallery for Holiday Pop-Up Show

Clay Sculpture by Corine Fedorowicz, NPC Ceramics Instructor.

Blue Waters Fine Arts Gallery warmly welcomes you to a Holiday PopUp Show benefiting the Continuing Education Department at National Park College, with proceeds supporting the purchase of a new kiln.

According to Corina Fedorowicz, NPC’s Ceramics Instructor, the primary kiln is well-used, and is so old it’s marked as “Property of Garland County Community College,” the college’s long-ago name.

While the college has agreed to contribute $1000, the actual purchase of a replacement is over $5000.

Opening for the December 5 Gallery Walk, this limited-time event brings together an inspiring collection of 3D and 2D works by artists who have helped shape the creative landscape of our community.

A percentage of all sales will help fund the new kiln. “We are fundraising through the sale of our art,” said Laura (Braughton) Blue Waters, a 1975 alumnus of Garland County Community College (GCCC) and current Continuing Education student. “That kiln and I are old! At 16 years old, GCCC launched me into the study of Art through higher education. I’m forever grateful for that start. But we really need a new kiln so the program can grow and continue.”

There will be holiday refreshments and lots of holiday cheer. If you are interested in helping, call Laura for more info at 501-701-8036. Please join them!

Admission is free, and all works are available for purchase. Come celebrate this Weekend Holiday Event at Blue Waters Fine Arts Gallery, at 430 Valley Street.

Holiday Pop-Up Hours:
Friday, Dec. 5, Gallery Walk 4 PM – 8 PM.
Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 AM – 6 PM.
Sunday, Dec. 7, 1 PM – 4 PM.
