Hot Springs Doc Fest Hosts the Screening Series

Love Documentaries?! The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF) has you covered!

On Wednesday, June 18, in downtown Hot Springs, HSDFF is partnering with the Gateway Community Association and the NAACP Hot Springs Branch to host the second edition of the new year-round screening series. This edition is a special showing of Following Harry, an intimate portrait of Harry Belafonte as he embarks on a deeply personal and reflective journey, while mentoring an emerging group of artists and activists committed to following in his footsteps.

According to HSDFF Executive Director Ken Jacobson, “With so many high-quality documentaries available to us throughout the year, this series allows us to curate a unique selection that we know will delight, enthrall and educate local audiences. There is no longer any reason to wait until October!”

Jacobson said about this month’s film selection: “Following Harry is a powerful testimony to the life and legacy of a true American icon. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Gateway Community Association and NAACP Hot Springs Branch on this special screening. We welcome all to join us for this inspiring film and to celebrate Juneteenth as a united community.”

The screening will be held at Arkansas School of Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, 220 Whittington Avenue, in the Creativity & Innovation Complex (2nd Floor), on Wednesday, June 18, 7:00 PM. Doors open 6:30 PM

Tickets are $15. Free tickets to 2025 Red Carpet Circle sponsors and up. To purchase tickets, go to https://shorturl.at/HojbV
