Save the Date: AR Cherry Blossom Festival- April 12

Taiko drummers from Osuwa Taiko Group will perform at the festival.

The Hot Springs National Park Sister City Foundation is excited to host the sixth annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the Hot Springs Convention Center, 134 Convention Boulevard.

This free, family-friendly festival brings the rich traditions of Japan to Arkansas, offering something for everyone to enjoy. For those looking to get involved, interactive workshops, lectures, and traditional Japanese activities will be available, alongside the popular anime cosplay contest.

Don’t miss the chance to show off your creativity in the Fourth Annual Haiku Competition. Poems are submitted online at www.HotSpringsSisterCity.org and prizes awarded at the event.

The festival weekend will also feature the Sake Brewers Association of North America’s SakeFest, an evening event following the festival on April 12. Guests can explore the unique flavors and heritage of Japanese sake through tastings and presentations.

Adding to the excitement, sumo wrestling will return to Hot Springs for a special event on the evening of Friday, April 11, 2025, offering a rare opportunity to witness this iconic Japanese sport up close.
