Levi Hospital recently announced its continued role as the Community Champion sponsor for the upcoming Hot Springs Out of the Darkness Walk, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The walk is scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at National Park College, at 101 College Dr. in Hot Springs.

On-site registration will begin at 10:00 AM. Participants can learn more or register in advance at the Hot Springs Out of the Darkness Walk website.

The fundraising goal for this year’s walk is set at $20,000, which will support the AFSP’s initiatives focused on suicide prevention through education, advocacy, and outreach. Community members are encouraged to participate by joining Levi Hospital’s team, forming their own teams, or registering as individuals. While registration is free, donations are highly encouraged, and all contributions are tax-deductible.

“The ongoing challenge of suicide unfortunately affects many individuals and families in our community,” said Brandy McDaniel, Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services at Levi Hospital. “We encourage community members to get involved by walking, forming teams, or making donations to help fund critical research and outreach that can save lives.”

Those interested in participating can register at www.afsp.org/hotsprings or contact Walk Chair, Milissa Credeur, at 501-781-3696 or
