Jane’s Curiosity Shop Celebrates 1st Anniversary

Whimsical, gothic, quirky, dark, and humorous describes Jane’s Curiosity Shop.

It’s hard to believe that the first year is in the books, but Brittany Harris, owner of Jane’s Curiosity Shop at 313 Ouachita Avenue is looking forward to many more years ahead.

“To take my passion – whimsical, gothic art, furniture, and décor – and make a living of it is a dream come true,” she says. Known for the quirky, the dark, and the humorous, Jane’s Curiosity Shop has earned its place among the top stop for locals and visitors.

“There’s really nothing to compare it to here in Hot Springs,” says Alana Pierce, a nearby business owner. “I’ve seen people walk into her shop and literally stay two hours because there’s so much to digest in there.”

Popular with shoppers is an old-style conversation nook, where you’ll find Brittany often sitting and conversing with patrons. “It’s just an easygoing atmosphere – bright and welcoming – and shoppers are just drawn in. They end up staying much longer than they planned.”
