Levi Hospital Holds World Mental Health Day Luncheon

Levi Hospital recently announced the return of its Mental Health Awareness Luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, October 10, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Creativity and Innovation Complex on the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts campus at 220 Whittington Avenue in Hot Springs.

Presented by Oaklawn Hot Springs, the event is held in observance of World Mental Health Day as part of Levi Hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness in Garland County.

The event’s keynote speakers include Townsend, an Arkansas-based musician and mental health advocate, and University of Central Arkansas Professor Wendy Blackwood, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and the founder of Healing Path Counseling in Conway, Arkansas. Their presentation will center on the importance of building mental health resilience and the need for increased awareness of mental health challenges in Arkansas.

“Having Townsend and Wendy Blackwood at our event is such an exciting opportunity for our community,” said Libby Harrington, Marketing Director at Levi Hospital.

Tickets for the Luncheon are $30, with tables of eight available for $240. Early registration is recommended. Tickets can be purchased online at levihospital.com. For more information, contact Libby at lharrington@levihospital.com or call 501-626-9974.
