Wishing Happy 20th Anniversary to Justus Fine Art Gallery

The August Exhibit at Justus Fine Art Gallery will mark the 20th Anniversary for the gallery and will also celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Hot Springs’ Gallery Walk. The Anniversary Show will feature a group exhibit that will include selections of work from most of the roster of represented artists.

A collaborative art piece will also be created under the guidance of artist Elizabeth Weber during the opening reception from 5-9 PM on Friday, August 2. A champagne toast, sponsored by the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance to celebrate the Gallery Walk milestone, will kick off the reception at 5 PM at Justus Gallery, as well as at other participating galleries during Gallery Walk.

“To mark the occasion of Justus Fine Art Gallery’s 20th Anniversary, I wanted to do something to recognize the important role that artists, collectors, staff members, friends, media, and others have played in supporting the gallery over the last two decades. The collaborative art piece that will be created by attendees during the opening reception is meant to be a symbol of the interconnectivity of us all.

“Attendees will participate by adding a strip of fabric (provided by the gallery) to the sculpture under the direction of Elizabeth Weber. What is created by the support of the arts in our community, state, and beyond is bigger than what we can imagine. I feel so grateful for all those who have played a role in supporting our efforts here at the gallery and in our community,” stated Dolores Justus, artist and gallery owner.

A few highlights include sculpture and paintings by Robyn Horn, including her sculpture “Slipping Sideways” which is representative of her slipping stone series. Many other additional pieces by the wide range of artists represented by the gallery will be featured.

Owned by artist Dolores Justus, the gallery is located at 827A Central and offers a wide range of original art including sculpture, paintings, ceramics, photography, and more. Open 10 AM – 5 PM, Wed.-Sat., and by appointment. For more information, call 501-321-2335 or visit www.justusfineart.com
