Join The Punk Rock Bedroom Party During Gallery Walk

The Punk Rock Bedroom Party is free, all ages are welcome.

Low Key Arts is pleased to announce a free event, The Punk Rock Bedroom Party, to be held at the Pocket Theatre in conjunction with Gallery Walk on Friday, July 7. Doors will open at 6:00 P.M. Included is an exhibit of punk rock-related art, as well as live music.

Artist/musician Robert “Bob Rob” Medina hails from San Diego and creates kinetic, vibrant artworks based on photos of classic punk bands and a personal history rooted in the culture. After decades living abroad, in such exotic places as Egypt, Ethiopia, and Abu Dhabi, Bob’s fascination with this musical subculture remains as strong as ever.

Taking his art on the road for the first time, Bob’s “Punk Rock Bedroom” installation recreates his early-80s bedroom, replacing photocopied fliers with Bob’s own modern creations inspired by the wild urgency and creative explosion that was taking place in both music and his mind at that time.

Little Rock’s Skull of the Americas will be on hand to prove that the culture is alive and well some forty years later. The Punk Rock Bedroom Party is free, all ages are welcome. A donation bar is available with 21+ ID. Pocket Theatre is located at 170 Ravine Street.
