Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival in Hot Springs April 3

This year the Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival will also include lectures and workshops for those wanting a more hands-on experience.

The Hot Springs National Park Sister City Foundation will host the fifth annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 3 in Horner Hall, at 134 Convention Boulevard. This family-friendly event will be free to attend.

The 2022 festival will again feature cultural demonstrations, musical and dance performances, and exhibits. The Sister City Youth Art exhibition will debut at the event before moving to the library for the remainder of April. This year the festival will also include lectures and workshops for those wanting a more hands-on experience. An anime costume contest is planned as well as a variety of traditional Japanese carnival games. Prizes for the First Annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku competition will be awarded and winners will be invited to read their haiku at the event.

Japan-based companies from across the state have been invited to participate by exhibiting items made in Arkansas to highlight the importance of these companies to our Arkansas economy.

For more information about the event and how you or your organization can participate, please email festival@hotspringssistercity.org.
