Cutwell’s 5 th Annual Birth of an Artist Show August 11 th

Cutwell 4 Kids (C4K) is hosting its fifth annual fundraiser, The Birth of an Artist, with an art show and reception, on Saturday, August 11th, from 7pm-10pm at Emergent Arts, at 341 Whittington Avenue in Hot Springs.

In addition to the exciting art work from our community of emerging artists, the show will also feature musical talent in areas of jazz and R&B. There will be an extraordinary art sale featuring the visual artist Ayana Williams from UCA.

In addition to local and statewide young artists, there will also be live entertainment provided by the youth jazz band, RockTown Jazz Squad and artist Madison Love. Light hors d’oeuvre will be served.

C4K is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization for kids of all ages. Each Saturday, May through July, free of charge, kids meet at Emergent Arts to acquire and refine their art skills. This very hands-on art program allows children to do what they do naturally – play – while gaining valuable learning skills.

The youth-friendly environment of C4K is designed especially for kids that are highly active and allows them to express themselves freely with paint. A scary thought for adults, but as artist and founder Anthony Tidwell explains, “We are dedicated to providing a positive atmosphere for kids to express themselves with paint and that’s exactly what we do.” Admission is $20 per ticket and donations are accepted. Tickets can be purchased at Tim’s Barber Shop, 300 E Grand Ave. For other ticket locations or for more information about Birth of an Artist, please call 214-497-3715, or email c4kartclasses@gmail.com.

Cutwell 4 Kids is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, Morris Foundation and Tim’s Barber Shop.
