Summer Reading Program Begins May 15 at GC Library

Erin Baber updates the community about happenings at GC Library.

By Erin Baber
The Garland County Library’s annual Summer Reading Program begins May 15 and will continue through the end of July. Readers of all ages are invited to participate. Kids and teens will track the number of hours they spend reading and listening to audiobooks and adults will log each title they complete through the summer.

Kids and teens will create an account at gclibrary.com/srp to log hours. Prizes are awarded to every young reader as they reach 5 hours, 10 hours, 15 hours, 25 hours, 40 hours, 50 hours, 75 hours, and 100 hours.

Instead of earning prizes based on hours spent reading, adults win prizes by submitting an online form for each book they read or listen to and selecting which prize drawing they would like to enter. Link to the entry form will be available beginning May 15 at gclibrary.com/srp.

Learn more about the library at www.gclibrary.com or by calling the library at 501-623-4161. The Library now offers home delivery to most areas in Garland County. Email delivery@gclibrary.com to see if you’re eligible. Find the library on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
