Starstuff Studio: A Magical Place to Conjure Story

Storybook Theater Workshop is an interactive storytelling experience. The Read Through introduces the story to the cast. Then, they choose a character and dress in play fabrics and costume pieces to retell the story. Story Theater Workshop encourage kids to create a character from costume pieces and props, then play improv games to conjure an original story.

Lanie Carlson is a local actor and director on the Arts in Education Roster with the Arkansas Arts Council and a Teaching Artist with Arkansas Learning Through the Arts (ALTTA). Carlson is curious about the stories we tell ourselves and others. She is exploring story as connection to ourselves, our community and culture, while creating a community for celebrating and sharing our stories. A community to conjure and connect with the power of story.
