Jackson House: Food Insecurity

A Note from the Executive Director

Jackson House continues to provide food and other necessities during the ongoing federal government shutdown. While our operations rely primarily on private donations, partnerships, and local growers, we are preparing for potential disruptions.

Delays in food support are increasingly likely as the shutdown continues. We are working to lessen these delays and maintain a consistent food supply.

The most significant concern is the potential disruption to SNAP benefits. While October benefits have been issued, funding for November is uncertain. If benefits are reduced or delayed, we anticipate a sharp increase in demand at our pantry and hunger relief program—especially as we approach the holiday season.

Jackson House continues to serve our community during this challenging time with YOU, our supporters, who know we need each other. Visit www.Jacksonhouse.org for more information or to donate.
