Park Avenue Celebrates New Streetlights and the Community That Made It Possible

Through PACA’s efforts, 26 streetlights are now installed on Park Avenue.

The Park Avenue Community Association (PACA) is proud to invite donors, neighbors, and friends to celebrate the partnership and success with the City of Hot Springs in celebrating the achievements of the Light Uptown project, Sunday, Sept.7, 2025, at 6 PM, at Vapors Live, 315 Park Avenue, Hot Springs.

The evening will feature entertainment, food, and a champagne toast honoring the installation of historic-style pedestrian streetlights along one full side of Park Avenue. Guests will also have the chance to win jewelry “as bright as our new lights” in a raffle that will support fundraising for the next phase of the project.

The Light Uptown initiative is transforming the Park Avenue corridor by adding 77 historic-inspired streetlights that reflect the charm of downtown Hot Springs and Bathhouse Row while improving safety, walkability, and neighborhood pride. To date, 26 lights are already shining, with more to come thanks to the generosity of local donors and the support of the City.

“This project shows what neighbors, businesses, donors, and city leaders can accomplish when we come together,” said PACA. “We’re making Park Avenue a safer, more vibrant gateway to Hot Springs.” City Manager Bill Burrough added, “Partnerships like Light Uptown demonstrate how community vision and city collaboration can bring real, lasting improvements to our neighborhoods. We are proud to support PACA and the residents of Park Avenue in this effort.”
