Low Key Arts is pleased to present the first-ever Persistence of Vision Film Festival (POV Fest), formerly known as Arkansas Shorts, taking place January 3-5, 2025, at the historic Malco Theatre in downtown Hot Springs. POV Fest marks a significant evolution in the festival’s programming, celebrating 18 years of cinematic storytelling and community connection.
What started as a single screening dedicated to showcasing films made by Arkansans has now blossomed into a three-day extravaganza featuring 84 short films and 5 feature-length films.
POV Fest also serves as a showcase for the work produced during the previous calendar year in Low Key Arts’ Inception to Projection Filmmaking Program, a year-round program teaching entry-level and advanced, specialized filmmaking courses right here in downtown Hot Springs.
This year, the festival expands its offerings with an impressive lineup that includes not only feature films and documentaries but also nightly parties and special guest appearances. Audiences are in for an exhilarating experience as they explore an outstanding selection of films, many of which have received acclaim from prestigious festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, SXSW, Tribeca, and TIFF in addition to the impressive films created right here in Arkansas!
