The Garland County Library is excited to announce the return of its “Show Me Your Library Card” program, which celebrates National Library Card Sign-Up Month annually in September.
Dozens of local businesses and organizations have generously offered a variety of discounts and deals to Garland County Library patrons throughout September. A complete list of participating businesses and their discounts will be available at www.gclibrary.com/SMYLC by September 1, 2024.
“We are thrilled to partner with so many wonderful local businesses to celebrate the power of a library card,” said Erin Baber, Marketing Manager of the Garland County Library. “There’s never been a better time to show you support the Garland County Library. Sign up for a card anytime in September to reap the benefits of extra savings throughout town and use your library card for free books, movies, games, and more all year round.”
Participating businesses will offer a variety of discounts, including percentages off, special offers, and free admission. Some of the over 50 participating businesses this year include the Dog Treat Lady, Mid-America Science Museum, Black Ribbon Books, Ron Coleman Mining, RC Coffee Shop & Collectables, Purple Cow, Happy Hollow, Garvan Woodland Gardens, The Retro Fit, All Things Arkansas, The Electric Strawberry, Red Light Roastery, Cat Sitting by Marie, and so many more. The full list will be posted online before September 1, 2024.
To participate in the program, simply show your library card at any participating business. Don’t have a library card? There’s no better time than now to get one. Garland and Saline County residents can apply for a full-access library card in person at the library or can apply for a digital card online.
