Tour De Salvation Family Bike Event Sunday, Sept. 4

Riders train for the September 4 Tour De Salvation.

On Sunday, Sept 4, The Salvation Army will host the first Tour De Salvation, a bike riding event for the entire family in Hot Springs. Bike riders can choose between seven routes from challenging to casual, including the 45-mile Full tour de Salvation, which includes a ride to the Hot Springs Mountain tower, over West Mountain and Blacksnake Road. The Medio tour de Salvation includes a complete 15-mile Northwoods loop and the Family Fun Ride is a casual roll on the Hot Springs Creek Greenway with a fun aid station at the halfway point.

The After Party will be held at the Farmers Market with live music, hot dogs, and hamburgers. All money raised will be used to support the Salvation Army Pathway of Hope (SAPH) program. Pathway of Hope serves Hot Springs families with children, who want to break the cycle of crisis and poverty. Families are helped with chronic issues like unstable housing, employment, and education issues. SAPH helps families find a way toward stability and self-sufficiency.
