Call For Veteran Artists for Exhibit in November to Honor Veteran Artists

Veteran artists are invited to submit artwork by October 10.

The Springs Magazine is honored to partner with Laura Blue Waters, owner of Blue Donut Art Gallery, to present Arts in Service: Honoring Veteran Artists.

This special art show provides veteran artists who have served the nation with an opportunity to showcase their creative work both at Blue Donut Art Gallery throughout November and in the November issue of The Springs Magazine.

Many veterans possess extraordinary artistic talent and powerful stories that often remain unseen. Through Arts in Service, The Springs Magazine and Blue Donut Art Gallery seek to celebrate that creativity, amplify those voices, and provide a meaningful platform for veterans to share their work with the community.

The opening reception will be from 5 – 8 PM during Gallery Walk on November 6 at Blue Donut Art Gallery, located at 430 Valley Street in Hot Springs.

Community members are warmly invited to attend the opening reception, meet the artists, and experience this special collection honoring the creativity, talent, and service of veteran artists. In addition, The Springs will feature a full-page tribute to Arts in Service: Honoring Veteran Artists in its November print edition and on The Springs website.

Veteran artists interested in submitting artwork for consideration are invited to register by contacting artsinservice@thespringsmagazine.com. Submissions may include paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, woodworking, fiber arts, and literary works such as poetry, essays, and short stories. Artwork deadline: October 10, 2026.

Veteran artists, businesses, and community members are encouraged to participate in this celebration of service and artistic achievement, recognizing the remarkable talent, creativity, and contributions of those who have served.
