September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Garland County Library wants to remind you that your library card is quietly one of the best deals in town.
Here’s how Power of the Card works: Show your library card at approximately 40 participating businesses across Garland County and unlock exclusive discounts and perks. We’re excited to partner again this year with some favorites like Clampit’s Country Kitchen, Texas Roadhouse, Garvan Woodland Gardens, TNT Fun Play, Bricks and Minifigs, Fancy Schmancy Vintage Boutique, Red Light Roastery, and Static.
You can even snag a discount on adopting a new pet through City of Hot Springs Animal Services or Guardian Angels Cat Rescue.
Even better, the Power of the Card doesn’t stop there! Garland County Library has also partnered with four neighboring library systems across Central AR: Central Arkansas Library System, North Little Rock Library System, Pine Bluff Jefferson County Library, and Saline County Library. That means your card works across county lines, offering deals with 100+ participating businesses!
Your library card still does what it’s always done, unlocking books, movies, audiobooks, ebooks, unique items from our fun stuff collection, and programs for every age.
Don’t have a library card yet? Visit GCL for Bring a Buddy Day on Saturday, September 5, from 10 AM – 12 PM. Bring a friend or family member to sign up for a library card, and you’ll both walk away with gift cards from one of our partnering businesses.
