Apparently, You Can’t Take it with You

You Can’t Take it with You, the classic comedy written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, and directed by Claudia Beach, opens February 6 at the Pocket Community Theatre.

This classic play centers on the romantic relationship between Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby. Their impending marriage is threatened when Tony brings his wealthy, snobbish parents to meet Alice’s eccentric, free-spirited family—the Sycamores—on the wrong night, leading to a humorous clash of cultures. Eventually, the families must navigate their differences, and Mr. Kirby comes to appreciate the Sycamores’ joyful, anti-materialistic lifestyle.

Tickets: $20 for adults. $15 for seniors and students of any age. The following performances are available: Feb. 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:00 PM. Feb. 8 and 15 at 2:00 PM. To purchase tickets, visit ticketleap.events/events/pocket-community-theatre, or call 501-623-8585.
