About the Cover . . .

Bliss

By Grace Williams (Acrylic on canvas 11”x14”)

Summer may be fading, but our Springs team isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. This joyful cover—brought to us by way of Cutwell 4 Kids—is our way of holding on. You can catch this gem on display (and up for grabs!) at Birth of An Artist, the 11th annual art sale hosted by Cutwell 4 Kids on November 29.

Bliss is created by Grace Williams, a 23-year-old narrative artist whose bright, whimsical paintings and murals draw viewers into her imagination. Hailing from Springfield, Arkansas, after serving as the National Senior President of the Beta Club, she attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies, earning a degree in Public Policy and African and African American studies.

Her art combines her love of education with her mission of encouraging the communities around her. Williams paints with the intention of placing Black women and Black cultural images in a different light and context than what society typically places them — images of honor, joy, power, and celebration. As a 2025 Duke graduate, Grace has transitioned from student to emerging artist and is quickly gaining recognition for her murals and artwork.

A heartfelt thank-you to Anthony Tidwell for introducing us to Grace, and to Grace for sharing this beautiful piece for our November issue. As 2025 draws to a close, we’re feeling especially thankful for the incredible community that makes The Springs Magazine possible. Month after month, it’s our contributors, staff, readers, and advertisers who breathe life into these pages. You’re not just part of the process—you’re part of the soul.

Wishing all of you a very Happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
