The Mood Floral Co. Celebrates Its First Anniversary in Sidetown

The Mood Floral Co., located at 302 Ouachita Avenue in Sidetown, offers a magical selection of gifts, florals, candles, jewelry, and seasonal decor.

Please stop in to celebrate the first anniversary of The Mood Floral Co. “We’re thrilled to invite you to celebrate The Mood Floral Co.’s grand opening,” said Shelley MacGibbon, owner and floral designer. “We’re officially one year old, Hot Springs, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this milestone with you.”

Come by for a festive day of tricks, treats, and fantastic deals as Mood Floral kicks off the holiday season. They will have a magical selection of gifts, Halloween decor, home fragrances, candles, cards, jewelry, and all the beautiful premium florals you’ve come to expect from MacGibbon.

“At The Mood Floral Co., we believe flowers offer more than just beauty; they create a unique experience, evoking a special mood for every occasion, and we are dedicated to bringing the finest floral designs to Garland County and beyond,” remarked MacGibbon.

Her exquisite designs have been featured in national publications, television shows, and commercials, truly embodying creativity, elegance, and luxury.

Shelley’s passion for floral design began at 19, in Dallas, Texas, where she honed her skills with prestigious florists in the DFW Metroplex. She then opened her first shop, Gathering Flowers, in downtown Plano, Texas.

Her journey later led her to Hollywood, California, a lifelong dream, where she worked with high-profile celebrity florists and event companies across Los Angeles and Orange County. She subsequently established her second floral shop, Primal Flower, in Long Beach, California.

After years away, MacGibbon found herself missing the South and her family and longed to return home. She met and married her husband, Mac, who also shared her desire to move back to the South.

A business opportunity initially brought them to Louisiana, but Shelley’s fond memories of Hot Springs ultimately led them to make it their permanent home and the location for her third shop.

As the saying goes, “the third time’s a charm,” and The Mood Floral Co. officially opened its doors at 302 Ouachita Avenue in beautiful downtown (aka Sidetown) Hot Springs. They chose this location for its convenient proximity to downtown and the unique, alternative vibe of Ouachita Avenue, fondly referred to as “Weird on Ouachita.”

Join them at their open house on Saturday, September 6, 10 AM–6 PM. “We look forward to celebrating with you,” welcomed Shelley and Mac.
