Single Parent Scholarship to Host Great Gatsby Event

The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) announces its April 24 event, The Gatsby, at the Vapors. The event features live entertainment, an auction, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres, as part of its 2025 fundraising campaign. The event will honor local philanthropist Don Munro for his outstanding contributions to the community.

Jean Morehead, CEO of ASPSF since May 2024 notes that Garland County is often the highest-donating county in Arkansas, with last year’s show raising nearly $17,000 for the scholarship. The ASPSF awards single-parent scholarships to low-income parents; last year, approximately 50 scholarships were awarded in Garland County.

Morehead credits the passionate volunteers in our area and is excited for one of the most highly anticipated shows in Garland County’s 14-year involvement with ASPSF. She adds that Hot Springs is “building on past successes and embracing new ideas by continuing to set an inspiring example” for other counties in Arkansas.

Costumes are encouraged for the event and tickets can be purchased through the following social media channels:
