For Your Eyes Only

The Eyes Have It. Potato on Canvas. $6 million, or Best Offer.

By David Rose
Recently a banana duct taped to a wall sold at Sotheby’s for over $6 million. I went into a panic. There were over $18 million worth of bananas on my kitchen counter, and I don’t even have a home security system. I hired round-the-clock security guards which made making my breakfast toaster tarts problematic.

Just when the guards and I had worked things out and were enjoying our toaster tarts, a blank canvas sold for $1.5 Million.

There are half a dozen blank canvases in my studio. What should I do? Should I move the canvases into the kitchen or the bananas into my studio? What would the security guard’s union say about that?

Come join us at the Artists’ Workshop Gallery for Gallery Walk, on January 3, or any other time, for that matter. While we don’t have fruit duct taped to the walls, all our canvases are hand-painted.

Artists’ Workshop Gallery 610A – Central Avenue, Hot Springs – Hours, Monday-Friday 10-5, Sunday 12-5, closed Tuesday.
