About the Cover Photo . . .

“Floral Feather” by Gerri Much

Gerri Much is a Hot Springs artist who is known for her colorful and whimsical paintings.

Splitting her time between Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Sanibel Island, Florida, Much is a member of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists, along with the Sanibel-Captiva Art League of Florida, and the Barrier Island Group for the Arts in Southwest Florida.

We were drawn to “Floral Feathers’” beauty and colors and felt in this month of patriotism, it would be a perfect representation of The Springs Magazine’s mission to celebrate the talent of our local artists while combining the beauty of nature and the celebration of our freedom.

Dolores Justus, owner of Justus Fine Art Gallery in Hot Springs where Much’s work is shown, has been a longtime supporter of Much’s work and was instrumental in procuring the photo of the art.

The cover layout was created by Richard Stephens, our graphic designer, and artist, who so brilliantly creates our covers each month. Stephens did a beautiful job of incorporating Much’s painting into the magazine’s overall design.

Thanks to all who helped bring this beautiful piece of art to our readers. We hope you will enjoy it as “Much” as we do.

Have a safe and Happy 4th of July from The Springs Magazine Team!
