Museum’s Taste of the Holidays Returns in Style

On Thursday, November 17, Taste of the Holidays returns to the Mid-America Science Museum (MASM). Running from 6 PM until 9 PM, the annual museum fundraiser will be held in person for the first time since 2019 and features new experiences and vendors for attendees to enjoy.

Taste of the Holidays is one of Mid-America Science Museum’s primary fundraising events. In addition to supporting the museum, admission includes samplings of cuisine and beverages from more than 20 of the finest restaurants, breweries, bakeries, distilleries, and caterers in Hot Springs and the surrounding area. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the museum and its programming.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, the museum partnered with Bleu Monkey to offer at-home Taste of the Holidays kits in 2020 but has not held the event in person since 2019.

Diane LaFollette, MASM CEO said, “I am thrilled we’re able to hold Taste of the Holidays in person at the museum again. It means so much to the museum for us to be able to interact with the people of our community and promote our mission of encouraging life-long science education through interactive exhibits and programs.”

This year’s fundraiser will also be offering a premium VIP experience. VIP attendees will gain early access to the event and reserved seating in the Hall of Wonder. The VIP experience will feature a special presentation of wine and food pairings from Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort’s The OAK Room, crafted by Oaklawn’s Ken Bredeson, a James Beard Award-Winning Executive Chef and sommelier.

“The support we get from our vendors and sponsors is what makes Taste of the Holidays a magical experience for our guests. It’s a gesture that demonstrates how charitable and community-oriented Hot Springs is,” said LaFollette.

VIP admission begins at 5 PM and is available for $125. General admission begins at 6 PM and is $100. Admissions can be purchased at the museum or www.midamericamuseum.org.
