Tarot and Astrology: Leo

The Major Arcana Tarot card associated with Leo is Strength.

By Michelle Crandell
People born between July 22 and August 22 inhabit the Zodiac sign: Leo, the Lion. Major Arcana Tarot card: Strength. Lessons and opportunities presented to Leos are represented by the following Tarot cards.

July 22 to August 1: FIVE OF WANDS: Your challenge: managing competing needs and wants … managing change itself. Inner strife shows up as anxiety and difficulty taking consistent action in one direction. Interpersonal strife occurs because Leo temperament is driven to assert ego and be taken seriously. Your lessons: learn self-discipline through balance; learn diplomacy through tolerance. Going multiple directions at once gets you nowhere at all.

August 2 to 11: SIX OF WANDS: Your opportunity: A Hero’s Journey. You enjoy putting your strength to the test by achieving, nurturing, and protecting. Challenge and struggle motivate you. Personal obstacles: Hotheadedness, being too demanding, and singlemindedness. Your lessons: understanding the laws of cause and effect, learning the way things are and how things work, learning compromise and diplomacy.

August 12 to 22: SEVEN OF WANDS: Your opportunity: Experiencing the difference between Authority and Leadership. You are drawn to and ready for positions where you can practice power and/or responsibility. Will you be a ruler or a governor? Tyrant or leader? Your lesson: You are responsible for the energy you bring into the room. Power and responsibility go hand in hand. Use your energy for a higher purpose than personal glory.
