Northwoods Adds Summer Fun Series

A series of four “casually competitive events” has been added to the 2021 schedule of events during May, June and July, for mountain bikers and runners at Hot Springs’ acclaimed Northwoods Trail System.

“The Summer Fun Series events will include a time trial race, a looped XC race, a duathlon, and a six-hour mountain bike race,” Visit Hot Springs Trails Coordinator, Traci Berry said. “Registration for the Summer Fun Series is open now at www.bikereg.com/taco-summer-fun-series.

“The 2021 spring and summer event schedule will include group rides for mountain bikers of all skill levels and competitive events for runners and mountain bikers alike,” Berry said. The popular Full Moon Ride series, which takes place on the evening of each month’s full moon, (April 26) will be continued, she said.

The Northwoods System includes 26-plus miles of single-track trail for mountain bikers, trail runners and hikers. Hours of operation are from 6am-10pm.
