“Red, White & You” Picnic in the Park July 4th

Friends of Hot Springs National Park (FHSNP) and the National Park Service are hosting “Red, White & You,” a free, family-focused old fashion patriotic “Picnic in the Park” on July 4, from 10:30–3:00, on Arlington Lawn.

All are invited to dress in red, white, and blue. Family activities include a bounce house, games, face painting, temporary tattoos, and educational exhibits by National Park staff.

Appearing on our stage: Angie Ezekiel/Sylvia Stems, Dona & Larry, Flyin’ Brian & Terry T, illusionist Jonathan Erlandson, Jacob Flores, Justin Time Entertainment, and Ken Goodman.

Food for purchase includes burgers, hot dogs, and fabulous pulled pork prepared by the Ohio Club chefs Mike Pettey and Mike Dampier, along with beverages from Superior Bathhouse Brewery, Miller Light and Coors Light, Coca Cola, and Mountain Valley Spring Water.

Gross Funeral Home is sponsoring an American Flag give away so all can wave the flag when the Hot Springs Village VFW presents the colors at noon. Ross Rumore will play the bugle while Angie Ezekiel leads all in the National Anthem and reciting the pledge of allegiance.
