Village Pines Gardening Club

Village Pines Garden Club (VPGC) was organized in 1973, Federated in 1977 in the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs (AFGC). The club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., South Central Region of NGC, Inc., Hot Springs Council of Garden Clubs and the Southwest District of AFGC.

The Club’s mission is to coordinate the activities of those interested in more and better gardens; to stimulate interest in cooperative gardening; to study, in all aspects the fine art of gardening; to increase active interest in civic beautification.

Village Pines members plant and maintain 8 garden areas in the village with volunteers. Their gardens have won national and regional awards for many years.

Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month, September until March. April and May are reserved for special events. The Spring Champagne Brunch is in April and this year is the silver anniversary. In May, VPGC holds its end of year picnic.

Each meeting is held at the Coronado Center, at 11am with Grass Roots. A tea table lunch provided by the members follows Grass Roots. Then they present their main speaker and a short business meeting begins at 1pm.
