Top 4 Halloween Attractions in Hot Springs

Looking for some spooky family fun for Halloween? You’re in the right spot. Here’s my top 4 Halloween attractions in Hot Springs.

#4. Halloween at the Y, hosted by the YMCA of Hot springs is a free family-friendly event which will take place on Wednesday, October 31st, from 5-7:30PM. There will be candy, games, and FUN! For more information, you can visit them on Facebook at Hot Springs Family YMCA.

#3. Celebrate Fall at Garvan Woodland Gardens! This fall celebration will take place on October 27th, from 9AM-3PM. Kids activities will include trick or treat, face painting, spooky science experiments and potions, wand making, and pumpkin decorating. This event is for the whole family and admission is as follows; children 3 and under are free, kids from ages 4-12 are $5, and 13 and up are $15 dollars. #2. Magic Screams, at Magic Springs. Magic Screams is open every weekend in October from the 6th-28th, and on Saturday’s from noon to 11PM, and on Sunday’s from noon to 9PM. Admission is $29.99 at the gate or $24.99 online at www.magicsprings.com/buy-tickets.

Each weekend they will feature a different Halloween themed movie, starting at 7PM at the Split Rock Grill. More attractions include roller coasters in the dark and haunted houses; CarnEvil#9 & Wasteland. Kid friendly attractions include a trick or treat trail and a fraidy-cat pumpkin patch.

They also feature a haunted house for children and this year it is called NiteFort, based on the latest game craze Fortnite. For more information, visit www.magicsprings.com/magicscreams.

The #1 Halloween attraction on my list for 2018 is the first ever Glow on the Row, hosted by downtown business owners. It will take place on Exchange Street and in the Free Parking Garage, on Wednesday, October 31st, from 4-8PM. This is a free event for the whole family, and there will be candy, glow sticks, festival games, live music and more. For more information, go to www.hotsprings.org/events.

 

For the Adults

If you’re 21 or older and still looking for some Halloween fun, you can go to Oaklawn’s Halloween Bash on Wednesday, October 31st, from 5-10PM. If you’re lucky you could even win some free play coupons. For more information, visit www.oaklawn.com/gaming/halloween-bash.

One other adult event is Franken-Science at Mid-America Science Museum, on Thursday, October 11th, from 6-8PM, there will be drinks, food, science fun, and more! To learn more, visit them on Facebook at Mid-America Science Museum.
