Pine Needle Basket Weaving

The works of Valerie Hanks-Gotez’s pine needle basket weaving will be featured by the American Art Gallery at Gallery Walk from 5-8:30 p.m.

“My passion to find art in unusual places has grown from the Muscogee belief that everything has a purpose and nothing should be wasted. To me, there is great satisfaction in taking something readily available and creating eco-friendly art with function and artistic beauty. My heart turned me to the traditional native works of art and functional pieces. Now I have many more reasons to smile!

Valerie’s work can be seen at American Art Gallery at 724 Central. Open Monday – Saturday, 10am-5pm. For more information, call 501-624-0550 or visit americanartgalleryandgifts.com.
