Michael Preble’s 2019 TRAVELOGUE! Calendar Hits the Shelves Early October

It’s that time of year – no, not Fall. It’s the release of Michael Preble’s 2019 wall calendar. Preble, a member of the Artists’ Workshop Gallery, presented the inaugural edition in 2018 using his imaginative photographs of Hot Springs – the bathhouses, regional parks, flora, the sporting life and special events, like the motorcycle rally.

This year’s theme is TRAVELOGUE! It includes 12 images from Anguilla, Hot Springs, New Orleans, France, Puerto Rico, Thailand, England, Japan, Spain, Italy and New York, featuring the distinctive cover photograph “Souvenirs.” (Refrigerator magnets!)

Says Preble, “Many of the photographs have been digitally manipulated to enhance and transform certain qualities of the image, like the color, composition or linear elements. The result is a heightened sense of impressionism, or realism or other special effects.

TRAVELOGUE! will be available in early October at the Artists’ Gallery Workshop on Central Avenue in historic downtown Hot Springs. Other venues include All Things Arkansas on Central Avenue and Casa Bella on Broadway. Live in Little Rock? You’ll find it at Local Colour Gallery on Kavanaugh in the Heights. Signed, limited edition for $25. For more information, contact Michael at mpreble@verizon.net.
