Spa Running Festival

The Spa Running Festival presented by Window Mart is proud to celebrate its 37 th year as a 10k and the 4 th year for the half marathon with its grandest announcements yet! On Saturday, November 17 th , 2018 the festival is now literally running right through the National Park with the new inclusion of North Mountain in Hot Springs National Park.

The half marathon and 10k have become well-known for the elevated trek over West Mountain. But its Race Director and volunteers could not be more excited about the Summit 2 Summit Half Marathon’s NEW two mountain route that will take runners directly through Bathhouse Row, over North Mountain in National Park territory and then up and over West Mountain.

Adding more excitement to an already elevated race year, Spa Running Festival is also proud to welcome American long distance running star and Olympic Bronze Medalist, Deena Kastor, as its special guest and official race starter for the half marathon, 10k and 5k events.

Race participants will have an opportunity to Meet & Greet with Kastor at the Finish Line Festival following the races where they will also enjoy hot soup, pizza and beer, as well as, photo opportunities, music, merchandise, socializing and bragging rights that you conquered BOTH mountains!

Registrants also receive entrance into the Expo, held on Fri., Nov. 16 th , at the Convention Center from Noon-7p.m., a long sleeve technical shirt, non-returnable souvenir timing chip, and finisher medals for the Summit 2 Summit Half Marathon, 10k and 5k participants.

Proceeds from the race benefits 3 great organizations: Friends of the Parks, Teen Challenge of Arkansas and the Spa Pacers Running Club – Buzz Wilson Scholarship Program.

Registration is open at sparunningfestival.com. Registration fees will increase for the Half Marathon on September 30 th and then for all other race categories on November 13 th so be sure to register in advance! Space is limited.
