Haiku Nov Conference

Margaret Lane Dornaus, South Region Coordinator for the Haiku Society of America (HSA) and Dr. David Lanoue of Xavier University, New Orleans, will lead the 22nd Autumn Haiku Conference November 2-3, 2018 at the Arlington Hotel. They have published the first HSA South Region Anthology which will be read and delivered at the conference.

John Zheng, an excellent speaker and translator of haiku will attend. Michael Dylan Welch of Seattle, Washington will be the featured poet. Judge Vic Fleming of Little Rock, Dr. Judy Michaels, and Dr. Johnnie Strickland of Maumelle, Bud Kenny, Howard Lee Kilby, Rodney Bloor and others from Hot Springs will also participate.
The conference will be hosted by the Arkansas Haiku Society which was founded in 1997 in the living room of former
Arkansas Poet Laureate Verna Lee Hinegardner. The late Dr. Paul Tucker served as President from 1997 – 2017.
