Reserve Tickets Now for The Sleeping Beauty Ballet 

“The Sleeping Beauty’s” Lilac Fairy is performed by Emmakate Franz in the May production. 

True love awakens with a kiss to triumph over evil in one of the most beloved story ballets of all time featuring a vibrant cast of characters, including the innocent Princess Aurora, her dashing Prince Florimund, the malevolent Carabosse, and many more. “The Sleeping Beauty” cast for this year’s production is of wonderful talent. Featuring guest professional artists from throughout the mainstream of the professional ballet world. 

Deanna Stanton a native of Clarksville, Maryland who amazed the audience last season with her abilities as Titiana, Queen of the fairy folk in “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream,” is excited to perform Aurora.  

The newest featured artist will be Emmakate Franz as the Lilac Fairy. Emmakate Franz was adopted from China and grew up in West Virginia. She first learned how to dance in church and local dance studios. When she received a scholarship from The Marion Park Lewis Foundation she moved to dance at Maryland Youth Ballet. After receiving a scholarship from The Joffrey, she was at Ballet Austin and Milwaukee Ballet. 

The professional artists chosen to participate in the project are selected based on their ability to connect with young people, engage and motivate participants to pursue their artistic goals, and to follow their creative dreams.  

Join the HSCDTC cast of featured professional and local artists at LakePointe Church Hot Springs for an evening of spectacular entertainment, at 7 PM on May 16 or May 17, or a matinee at 1 PM on Saturday, May 17, or 7 PM May 23 at the Woodlands Auditorium Hot Springs Village.
