Arkansas Children’s Award Dinner Honors Dorothy Morris

Since the Sheriffs of Arkansas founded the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches in 1976, it has been home to more than 2,050 boys and girls from every corner of the state. Children come to the Ranch through no fault of their own; many have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

At the Ranch, children find hope and healing. Boys and girls live in large family homes with loving houseparents who raise them like their own. Every child receives proper healthcare and educational opportunities. Children also have the opportunity to gain real-life experience and work with goats, cows and many other animals through the ASYR’s educational farm program. +

The 23rd Annual Arkansas Children’s Award will be presented to Dorothy Morris in recognition of her life’s work supporting programs like the Youth Ranches that have helped so many Arkansas children.

The Arkansas Children’s Award Dinner is a great opportunity to support the Youth Ranches and enjoy an inspiring evening with some of the finest folks in Arkansas. The dinner will be held Thursday, October 11, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Little Rock. The dinner will kick off with a reception and silent auction at 6:00 pm, and the dinner program and live auction will begin at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are on sale now, and additional sponsor opportunities with special recognition are also available. All funds raised by the dinner benefit the ASYR programs.

To purchase tickets and for more information about how you can support the ASYR, visit YouthRanches.com or call Matthew Cleveland at 501-940-3440.

The Arkansas Children’s Award Dinner is an annual event benefitting the programs at the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches and recognizing an individual or organization who personifies in word and deed the ideals of the Ranch and has made outstanding contributions to create better opportunities for Arkansas’s youth.
