National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in our communities. This year’s theme, “Welcome to Your Library,” is apt for the Garland County Library. In recent years, the library has made big strides to increase the accessibility for all Garland County residents:

Fine-Free Library – All overdue fines on patron’s accounts were waived on January 1st, 2021 and there are no longer fees for returning items late.

Curbside Pickup – This started back in November of 2019, but they were really able to make improvements to the service while the building was closed for COVID-19. They remained open for curbside service and digital library services for months in 2020.

Home Delivery – Home delivery services have been available to residents in and near the Hot Springs Village and the Lake Hamilton School Districts. In honor of National Library Outreach Day, the library is announcing expanded home delivery. Now, home delivery will be available to nearly all of Garland County. Email delivery@gclibrary.com, for more information.
Learn more about the library at www.gclibrary.com, or by calling the library at 501-623-4161. Visit the library at 1427 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, and find the library on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
