The Hot Springs Music Festival Chorus (HSMFC) will sing at a variety of concerts during the upcoming Hot Springs Music Festival, June 3 – 16, 2018. The Festival Chorus has been an integral part of the Hot Springs Music Festival since it began 23 years ago. This year, the Chorus will be presenting works by Bernstein, Holst, and John Williams.
On Tuesday, June 5, the Festival Chorus, accompanied by Kristen LaMadrid, will sing two works by Leonard Bernstein, in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth: Almighty Father, the closing chorale from Mass and Make Our Garden Grow, the finale of the musical Candide.

The women of the Festival Chorus, joined by members of The Village Chorale, directed by Ellen Nagode, will participate in the first orchestral concert, singing the Neptune movement of The Planets, by Gustav Holst.
The full chorus will sing the John Williams Hymn to the Fallen from the film Saving Private Ryan, as a part of the June 12 orchestral concert. They will again be joined by members of The Village Chorale. At this concert, all veterans are invited to attend at no cost.

The Hot Springs Music Festival Chorus is under the direction of Lynn Payette, Executive Director of the Hot Springs Music Festival.
